Donations are now being accepted for class baskets. Baskets will be raffled off at the Pocketbook Bingo event on March 21st. Donation boxes are now in each classroom.

All proceeds from this event go towards the capital improvement fund. Current proposed projects include a shelter/ roof over the private transportation door, a replacement curtain track for the Allenwood stage, and a poured rubber pathway leading from the blacktop to the playground.

You can purchase space in “Go West!” program where you can send a message to your cast or crew member involved with the show in the form of a personal ad or “Shout Out”. A “Shout Out” is a short message sending words of encouragement or congratulations to someone involved in the production.
Your message can be directed to a single student, a group of students or the entire cast and crew. The cost of a “Shout Out” is $5 for two lines with a maximum of 30 characters on each line. Multiple ads can be purchased and submitted on the form.
To purchase with cash or check: Complete this form and submit with payment to Allenwood PTG. Envelopes should be sealed and marked Theatre Club “Shout Out”. PLEASE MAKE ALL CHECKS PAYABLE TO: “Allenwood PTG”.
Whether your student is part of the cast or tech crew, members of the production like to see messages such as “Break a leg!”, “Wishing you a magical night!” or “You make a difference!” from their friends and family in the program. Create a family memory and wonderful keepsake!

Committee Heads are needed for the Art Fair on Tuesday, May 19th and Field Day. Responsibilities include:
Art Fair: Create a SignUp Genius and recruit volunteers, volunteers will be prepping, with Mr. Allen, in his art room by mounting a piece of artwork from each student onto large panels of paper. On the day of the event, volunteers will help Mr. Allen set up the panels and take them down in the cafeteria.
Field Day: Volunteers needed to purchase water, ice, and ice pops before Field Day, deliver to school, and replenish the water stations during the day. Ice pops are distributed at the end of the day for students to enjoy.
On Wednesday, 1/15, Allenwood students enjoyed an assembly by LEAD U. “Lead U is a positive group of artists who creatively engage, educate, and empower learners of all ages to find the leaders within themselves.” This was the 2nd PTG sponsored assembly for the entire school. Calling all Captains, Cowpokes, Miners, Farmers, Pioneers and More! Allenwood Theatre Club (ATC) will be performing the musical celebration of America’s westward expansion, “Go West!” combining music, history and drama! Be part of our Allenwood Theatre Club cast and crew on their adventures to the Old West when people traveled by steamboat, wagons and trains to find gold, land and a prosperous life. Travelers learn no matter where they end up, their home will be a positive place full of family support!
Acting in the Theatre Club is open to ALL 4th and 5th graders, and the Tech crew is open to a limited number of 5th graders as well.
If you are planning to sign up for Theatre Club, be sure to read BOTH pages VERY carefully and review the dates and times for any conflicts prior to registering. Students registering for the production are committing to after school rehearsals, and are expected to attend each assigned rehearsal in addition to participating in all of the final performances. Rehearsals will begin the week of January 6th, on Mondays and Tuesdays throughout the month of January and February for our final performance on Friday, March 6th, right here on our Allenwood stage.
Please return the completed Registration Form and Activity Fee to the Main Office in an envelope marked “Theatre Club” by the sign up deadline of Thursday, January 2, 2020.
