Week of 10/2 at Allenwood
Welcome to October Allenwood Families!
This past week the students had their first Spirit Day of the school year and Dr. O’Connell shared with them the new Allenwood School flag the PTG had created. They looked fantastic in their green and white and erupted with loud cheers as it was displayed! Big scoops of thanks to everyone that came to our Back-to-School Ice Cream Social at Sundaes! For having ice cream for dinner, we received $400.00, an awesome first dining out event. The staff and students participated in the International Day of Peace-Together Allenwood students and staff created an enormous peace sign using a decorated hand from each and every person in the building. This peace sign signifies that it takes everyone in our community at Allenwood School to create and maintain a safe and peaceful environment. We all have a HAND in creating peace!

Yankee Candle Fundraiser
Packets came home with students this week. Great gift ideas for the holidays! Orders due by October 11th. Any questions, contact Megan McCay at mmccay@awptg.org.
Dragonfest, Friday, 10/6 at Leggett’s from 7-10pm
Join us at our Third Annual Dragonfest fundraiser for a night of food, drinks, live music & silent auction! Admission: $25 per person at the door.
BYOP (Bring Your Own Pumpkin)/Trunk or Treat, Friday, 10/27 from 5:30-7pm
We are looking for some “trunks”, “trick or treaters” and some carved jack-o-lanterns for Allenwood’s traditional BYOP event!
