FIFTH GRADE FAREWELL CARDS
The end of the school year is quickly approaching and while we are all excited for the summer, it is also bittersweet as this is the last time our fifth grade children will be students at Allenwood Elementary.
To commemorate their time at Allenwood, “Fifth Grade Farewell Cards” will be available for purchase beginning Monday, June 3rd through Friday, June 7th. They will also be available for purchase at the fifth grade picnic on Thursday, June 13th.
The cards cost $1 each and are the perfect way for any student in any grade to wish our fifth graders good luck in their new school, thank them for a special reason or highlight a favorite memory at Allenwood. The cards are also great for fifth graders to give to their friends, team members, and bus stop friends, or even for family members to wish their graduate well as they venture to middle school. The farewell cards are small keepsake notes (business card size) that are a nice memento of their time at Allenwood.
To order the cards, please email the quantity you want to purchase to Tara Devlin at firstname.lastname@example.org. Once ordered, you will receive the cards in an envelope. Please complete the card and then return it to Tara (c/o of Robert Devlin in Mrs. Shanklin’s class) along with $1 for each card ordered. All cards are due back to Tara by Friday, June 14. If you placed an order during the MayFair, there is no need to order again. Your cards will be sent home with your child.
During the last week of school, the cards will be delivered to each fifth grader in a little Allenwood gift bag.
May 31st is Kindergarten Field Day! June 7th is 1-5 Field Day!
Students should wear sneakers, Field Day shirt and sunscreen! Please bring in a labeled refillable water bottle as the PTG will be providing water and ice pops for the students.
