Jump Rope for Heart

Parents, it’s time for your child to show heart! This year we are launching the Kids Heart Challenge scheduled for 3/4/18 during school hours. We are thrilled to participate in this program as our students learn how nutrition and being active can help us live longer, healthier lives and we unite as a school community to raise money for the American Heart Association to fight heart disease and stroke.

Please help your child spread awareness and raise money to fight heart disease and stroke. It’s easy. Go to: www.heart.org/kidsheartchallenge or download the mobile app (by searching “Kids Heart Challenge” in your app store) to register on our school team page, send e-cards, emails, texts and make your personal donation. Also have your students commit to their own health by taking the daily health challenge! They can earn a glow in the dark wristband just for registering online. As students earn donations, they can earn members of the Heart Hero Crew! These little guys and their heart healthy messages are helping us educate students on living a heart healthy life.

Students who promise to raise $5 for the AHA can earn Echo and a hero clasp. If they raise money online, they can also earn Finn with their first online donation of $10. When they raise $40 in online donations they can also receive Ruby. We have these right now to distribute to our students.

Best of all, our school can also earn money to purchase PE equipment to keep our kids moving! I hope you are as excited as we are to support our students in this important experience!
